Join us for the first panel discussion of the series, For the Record: Archives to Action presented by the Philadelphia City Archives.
While housing is a basic need, affordable well-kept housing has largely been inaccessible to many through embedded systemic racist policies and practices. Several neighborhoods across the city clearly highlight the truisms of this engineering and the inequitable outcomes that have resulted.
In order to highlight perspective and awareness around the Philadelphia City Archives (PCA) exhibit on Fair Housing, this panel discussion will feature a spotlight on South Philadelphia’s 26-year history to open Whitman Park.
The panel will include Akira Rodriquez, Rick Saeur, Tayyib Smith, and will be moderated by Andre Perry.
Enjoy networking, light refreshments by Lalo Philly, and interactive elements in the Philadelphia City Archives’ new office space!
